Redcoat Band membership is open to UGA students enrolled in the Athens Campus, regardless of major, minor, or year in school. The following are requirements of all Redcoat Band members: Enrollment in good academic standing at UGA, Athens Campus, in the Fall Semester that coincides with the beginning of the season, including payment of Student Activities and Athletics fees. Students on university academic probation are not eligible to participate in the Redcoat Band, including its leadership selection process. Admission to the band via audition for performing members or by appointment for properties crew members. Good standing with the Redcoat Band, including fulfillment of all financial obligations and return of all band property. Enrollment in the Fall Semester marching band course for a minimum of 1 credit hour. Signature of or digital consent to the membership agreement, hazing policy form, and media release forms. Members of auxiliary sections will accept additional agreements as directed by their instructors. Here are the steps to Redcoat Band membership: Apply for UGA admission. First apply for admission to the University of Georgia, making note of your 811 number (also known as your UGA ID). Prepare your audition materials.
